Dr. Tan is the founder and clinical director of Go-TCM Clinic. He holds a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

He has received advanced clinical training in herbal medicine and acupuncture, with a focus on internal medicine and classical acupuncture approaches. His practice is informed by both traditional clinical knowledge and modern healthcare principles.

Dr. Tan previously worked in clinical and academic roles at Xiamen University’s School of Traditional Chinese Medicine and its affiliated hospital, where he was involved in teaching and clinical practice related to classical TCM literature, including Huangdi Neijing and Shanghan Lun.

He is a licensed Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner in China and a registered acupuncturist in Alberta. He has also served as an instructor in acupuncture and TCM programs at MacEwan University.

His clinical work focuses on internal medicine, pediatrics, and acupuncture care. Treatment plans are individualized and based on established Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic principles, with an emphasis on safety, clarity, and patient-centered care.

Where appropriate, follow-up consultations may be offered online to support continuity of care when in-person visits are not feasible.
